Team Leader Satellite Production Area
Job Summary: Team leader for satellite production facility, give out work assignments, monitor and adjust work flow to assure timely completion of customer orders.
Duties:
·Holds morning meetings with the cabinetmakers, inventory personnel, and receiving clerk to assign the work for the day.
·Assures the facility is ready for production, safe, clean, and well maintained.
·Maintains accurate records, detailing the number of fixtures to be produced, the production hours, and remaining hours needed to finish the schedule.
·Coordinates with manufacturing supervisor to staff the facility and maintain the production schedule.
Responsibilities:
·Creates a positive, self- motivated atmosphere in a team environment.
·Possesses and utilizes good listening skills.
·Communicates effectively with internal customers both verbally and in writing.
·Maintains outstanding attendance
·Maintains the quality control standards for the fixtures.
·Follows procedures in the company handbook, and other documents, assures others in
the department do also.
·Manages time and sets the priorities for tasks.
·Demonstrates professional attitude in approaching work assignments.
Specifications:
·Previous cabinetmaking experience.
·Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.
·Possesses decision making skills, and will take responsibility.
·Ability to work independently.
·Must have good computer skills, and is willing to learn as needed.
Job Relationships:
·Reports directly to the manufacturing manager.
·Works closely with shipping supervisor, manufacturing supervisor, project managers,
purchasing department, and other team leaders.
Authority:
·Purchase hand tools, and supplies for the facility.
·Authorize repair of the machinery and power tools.
·Schedules meetings.
·Participates in hire and / or termination of employees assigned to Satellite Production
Area.
