Manufacturing Manager

Job Summary: Manages the Cabinetmaking, Finishing, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, Maintenance and CADD/Detailing departments to assure timely completion of customer orders.

Duties:
·Coordinate leaders of Manufacturing departments to assure timely completion of customer orders.
·Conducts appropriate and timely performance reviews with direct reports, assures reviews are held department wide.
·Develop direct reports to assure they remain capable of performing their assigned tasks.
·Provide timely production schedules for the company based upon customer commitments.
·Participate in the company Safety Committee. Assure productive meetings are held and that Manufacturing areas maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
·Provide direction and leadership to those within the Manufacturing Department.
·Development and implementation of personal development plans and goals for all direct reports.

Responsibilities:
·Communicate to those within and outside in an effective manner, both verbally and in writing.
·Display strong leadership and direction for those within the Manufacturing Department.
·Manage multiple, complex tasks, often of conflicting natures while displaying a professional approach.
·Effectively encourage team approaches to problem solving.
·Mentor direct reports and others with high potential.
·Provide staffing for meeting the companies growth predictions.
·Provide and work to financial budgets.

Specification:
·Demonstrated leadership abilities coupled with high stress tolerance.
·Strong problem solving and related analytical skills.
·Bachelors degree in business, engineering or related fields.
·Five plus years of leadership experience in increasingly responsible positions.
·Must have good computer skills.

Job Relationships:
·Reports to the President
·Close working relationship with Human Resources, Project Management and Materials.

Authority:
·Approves departmental procedures and policies
·Hires and/or terminates employment of personnel
·Authorizes purchase of capital equipment
