Maintenance Engineer
Job Summary: To maintain the building, grounds and equipment of the company in good order.
Duties:
·Perform preventative maintenance on all the plant equipment and maintain records of this process.
·Work with outside contractors to provide support for electrical, HVAC and grounds care.
·Assures that all equipment is in safe operating order.
·Maintains HVAC equipment in conjunction with vendors.
·Coordinates contractors and other vendors performing work related to equipment, buildings or grounds.
·Maintain hand pneumatic and power tools in good, safe operating condition.
·Coordinate the snow removal and salting for company drives and parking lots.
·
Responsibilities:
·Present a professional image to internal and external contacts.
·Follows procedures/rules in the company handbook.
·Communicates effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
·Manages time and sets priorities for multiple tasks.
·Maintains outstanding attendance.
Specifications:
·Has the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
·Is detail oriented and has the ability to follow-up on tasks.
·High School graduate or the equivalent.
·Has the ability to read and interpret specifications for equipment or building related items.
·Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and knowledge. Must have basic electrical knowledge.
Job Relationships:
·Reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
·Internally works closely with supervisors, team leaders and other company personnel in the shop and office areas.
·Externally works closely with suppliers and contractors.
Authority:
·Makes repair parts purchases independently of direction.
·Makes recommendations regarding capital equipment selection.
·Participates in selection of suppliers and contractors.
