Journeyman Cabinetmaker

Job Summary: Manufactures product according to drawings and specifications provided, to assure timely manufacturing of product to customer specifications.

Duties:
·Manufactures product according to drawings and specifications.
·Complete complex tasks in a given time period, adjusting for changing priorities.
·Assures that the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris.
·Assists in training of team members to meet established standards.
·Assures that parts or subassemblies and finished product are labeled correctly.
·Other duties which may be assigned on an as-required basis.

Responsibilities:
·Communicates effectively to internal customers, verbally and in writing.
·Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
·Maintain professional image to customer and other employees.
·Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments.
·Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
·Assists in developing timely solutions to problems.
·Maintains a safe working environment, making sure people around you will not get in a situation to be injured.
·Assures the quality of product produced is acceptable.
·Maintains outstanding attendance.

Specifications:
·Has the ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
·Has extensive knowledge of materials and woodworking processes.
·Must be able to work to high quality level.
·Is detail oriented.
·Must know machine set-ups for a wide variety of woodworking equipment.
·Has the ability to read and interpret specifications.
·Education requirement high school diploma.
·Approved cabinetmaking apprenticeship graduate experience or six years related industrial experience.
·Must have their own hand tools to perform their task.

Job Relationships:
·Reports directly to the manufacturing supervisor.
·Works closely with Team Leaders.

Authority:
·Recommends methods and designs regarding product.
·Recommends changes needed in department.
