Finishing Supervisor
Job Summary:
·Manages the Finishing and Custodial Departments.
Duties:
·Hold weekly meetings with Team Members to plan and prioritize effective function of department.
·Manage production schedules assuring timely completion of product to meet customer requirements.
·Conducts formal job performance reviews on each employee within the department on a timely basis.
·Maintain accurate environmental records on chemical usage, manage hazardous waste removal and storage and insures timely appropriate wood waste removal.
·Manage the finishing materials inventory to meet appropriate levels.
·Develop and maintain finish specifications and procedures.
·Oversee and insure quality of finished product.
·Develop employees within the Finishing and Custodial Departments to meet company standards.
·Provide adequate staff to ensure the facility is adequately cleaned.
·Conduct training to maintain compliance with hazmat, respirator and shipping hazmat regulations.
·Other duties which may be assigned on as as-needed basis.

·Follows procedures in the company handbook and other documents, ensuring others within the department do too.
Specifications:
·College degree or equivalent work experience.
·Have a strong background in finishing applications with an understanding of environmental regulations.
·Demonstrated leadership ability.
·Have good computer skills and is willing to learn as needed.
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide systems to keep information in a usable format.
Job Relationships:
·Reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
·Works with Project Managers, Purchasing and other supervisors.
·Externally works closely with vendors.
Authority:
·Selects finishing material suppliers, purchases finish materials based on established standards.
·Hire and/or terminates employees.
·Recommends purchase of capital equipment.
