Store Fixture Manufacturers 37th Annual Manufacturing Seminar Offers Essential Business-building "How-tos"

Hollywood, FL —The National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM) 37th annual Manufacturing Seminar offers many benefits to industry attendees in addition to the traditional plant tours and networking receptions. Keynote speaker Tom Faranda will address "Creating Growth, Profit and Wealth." Other sessions will cover business-building fundamentals on subjects such as hiring, training, motivating, and retaining employees; ways to increase output with fewer people; and how to identify your personal leadership style and interact more effectively with others.

The Manufacturing Seminar, to be held Feb. 18-21, 2001, at Cleveland's Wyndham Hotel, is NASFM's best-attended seminar of the year. The approximately 200 decision makers attending, which include presidents, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, vice presidents, plant managers, manufacturing directors and supervisors, project and purchasing managers, and engineers, will enjoy a production-oriented experience with a focus on both management techniques and technical skills to help improve the manufacturing process. Other program highlights, such as the reception and dinner at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, will help attendees develop contacts with industry peers for future networking.

One full day is devoted to plant tours of store fixture manufacturing facilities. Scheduled tours include visits to Marlite, producers of slotted wall panels, planks, partitions, and door and frame systems in Dover, OH; Accel Group's plant in Wadsworth, OH, showcasing state-of-the art production equipment and material handling systems; LSI Grady McCauley's recently enlarged plant, which produces visual merchandising displays, signage, graphics, kiosks, P-O-P displays, and store fixtures; E-B Display Company's metal plant, which manufactures fixtures, components, POP displays, and features an in-house powder coating system; and Designer Showcases Inc., a mid-size, high-end manufacturer of custom showcases. Three additional tours are available after the seminar adjourns.

The National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM) is an international, not-for-profit association representing the store fixture manufacturing industry since 1956.
